Welcome... Keith and Jennifer began Coblynau Stud in 1983 when they imported two young fillies from Wales - Dyfnog Valiant Vixen and Derwen Tybed. Two Years later they imported their stallion, the yearling Derwen Reality.

Both Dyfnog Valiant Vixen and Derwen Tybed were shown extensively as youngsters and were awarded many championships and high point awards. Coblynau Stud's proudest moment was when Derwen Tybed was awarded the Aberystwyth Trophy for Supreme Welsh Champion at the Toronto Royal Winter Fair in 1990 under a Welsh judge and breeder of section B ponies, Dr. Emrys Bowen.

Derwen Reality has since remained at home attending to his stud duties. Nonetheless, he has been awarded several "high point sire" awards. As we have retained daughters from each mare, we realized an outcross stallion was needed. In 2003 the yearling colt Avonvalley Dow Jones was imported from England and so began the second generation of Coblynau.

Coblynau Stud has been fortunate to produce quality young stock from this foundation, and they have all gone on to do their new owners proud. If you have any inquires or would like any extended pedigrees and photos, please contact Keith and Jennifer.
